AI review
AI is a second look. It can miss ticks and can be confused by curls, lint, seams, shadows, and rug patterns.
How to run a careful check
- Start with the natural view so you understand the real scene.
- Use Black on Yellow for dark specks on lighter fur.
- Use Blue on Yellow when you need separation between dark debris and fur.
- Use Inverted Grey for pale backgrounds and bedding.
- Use Edge Detect only as an outline aid; it can exaggerate texture.
- If the grid suggests a possible issue, open one filter fullscreen and inspect manually before trusting the result.
Safety note
TickLens is a visual inspection aid and is not medical or veterinary advice. If you find a tick, remove it safely with appropriate tools. If your pet has irritation, swelling, lethargy, fever, appetite changes, or any other symptoms, contact a veterinary professional.
Help improve the model
False positives and false negatives are valuable training examples. For now, please contact support before sending images. We are preparing a consent-based contribution flow so labelled examples can be stored and reviewed separately from ordinary scan history.
